What usually goes wrong
A valve sized on line size cycles, cavitates or sticks at low load, and nobody finds out until commissioning. Flow, inlet and outlet pressure, temperature, the fluid and the turndown the loop has to hold are what decide body size, trim characteristic and actuator thrust. A quotation that skips them is a guess with a price on it.
How we handle it
We size against the process condition and put the sizing basis on the quotation, so you can check the assumptions rather than trust them. For a shutdown replacement we confirm face-to-face, stroke and mounting before shipping, because a valve that arrives right but does not fit is the same as a valve that did not arrive.
